Hunger Mountain Christian Assembly
Mission Statement
Our mission is transition, transformation, and training for common people of our region, to become uncommon followers of Jesus Christ.
Mission: John 17:18-19 (MsgB)
In the same way that You (Father) gave Me (Jesus) a mission in the world, I give them (disciples) a mission in the world. 19I'm consecrating Myself for their sakes So they'll be truth-consecrated in their mission.
Transition: Harvest. Matthew 9:35-38 (NIV)
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Transformation: Change. Romans 12:1-2 (NLT)
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? 2Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
Training: Discipleship. Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)
Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. 19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
